The IHEA Foundation – Italian Higher Education with Africa dedicate its mission to promoting transnational higher education projects in Africa, from the Mediterranean region to Sub-Saharan countries, jointly with African universities.
Founding members of the IHEA Foundation are the University of Bologna, the University of Florence, the Politecnico di Milano, the University of Naples Federico II, the University of Padua and Sapienza University of Rome.
The IHEA Foundation pilot project was conceived jointly with African universities that were already partners of the universities of the Foundation. It was activated in the academic year 2020/2021.
The first level Specialising Master in "Sustainable Management of Resources for Local Development: Empowering Higher Education in Africa" was launched in the academic year 2021-2022.
